Ravioli!

There is a reason that my blog is named shoes, ravioli and palmtrees and I as I have mentioned before
it´s because I LOVE ravioli and always will. It´s my favorite food and I could live on ravioli for a whole year and not get bored of it.
So it is only normal that I post my first and not last ravioli post which reveals my homemade ravioli recipe. Hope you like it ;)

How to make homemade ravioli.

The things you will need are:
*pasta maker
*baking paper
*bowl with water
*kitchen brush
*two spoons
*a little roll to separate the ravioli cubes.
*a fork
*oven plate and a dish towel (to put the ravioli on)
*Ravioli filling (can be anyone you like)
*pasta dough

How to make pasta dough:
*5 eggs
*500g fl wheat
Mix the wheat and eggs together in a food-processor and then knead the dough together with your hands for about 10 minutes. Then wrap it tightly in a plastic film and keep the dough in the fridge for an hour before you use it.

How to. . .

 1. you cut the dough into six little pieces and then put it into the pasta maker (I recommend only making three strips in a row then putting the other half of the dough into the fridge while your are  finishing them and then do the other three) . . .

2. . . . until they look like this. Then you use the kitchen brush and lightly brush some water over the strips (be careful to not put too much water, then they get sticky and hard to work with)

3. Then just start putting the filling in little dots over the strips and with enough space between them and only on one half of the strip. . .

The filling I used is:
*Spinach
*Ricotta cheese
*parmesan cheese
*salt and pepper
There is not a certain amount of everything that goes into the filling you just taste it every once in a while and fix it after what you think.
Then you just mix it all together in a food processor.

4. . . .until they look like this.

5. Then you put the other half of the strip over the half the the filling and press between them and use a roll that you can use to roll around all of the fillings and make many little cubes that have the filling in the middle.

6. Like this.

7. then you just separate them

8. After that you use a fork to press down the sides of the cubes like shown on the picture and that is to make certain that the filling wont get out when you boil the ravioli.

9. Then lay them down in the oven plate put the dish towel over them and under so they wont stick to the oven plate or dry.

Finally you just pop them in a large pot when the water has boiled and keep them there for 6-7 minutes or until you feel they are ready.

And voila!
There you have the best (in my opinion) homemade ravioli in you can imagine.
I recommend serving the ravioli with your favorite pasta sauce and a lot of baguette and parmesan cheese.
Enjoy :)

A marshmallow dream. . .

It has been such wonderful weather here at home for the past few days that I just could not control my self any more and I had to make some desert that matched the weather and the outcome was the beautiful (and unhealthy ;) ) Marshmallow dream.

How to make a marshmallow dream.

Ingredients:
*Mixed frozen berry´s
*Marshmallows
*Orange juice

This is what you need

Start by putting the berry´s into the tin

Then pour a little bit of orange juce over them

After that cut all of the marshmellows into three little pieces. . .
Then put the marshmallows over the berry´s. . .
. . . . Until it looks like this (gorgeous)

Then pop the desert into the oven for 8-10 minutes (or until the marshmallows are golden) and voila!
There you have a marshmallow dream.
It´s simple,tasty and nothing more.
It tastes best when eaten outside after a long summer day and with chocolate ice-cream on top.

Enjoy!

The flower-crown.

Yesterday me and my friend decided it was time to go take some pictures and I really think it went well. It was not a sunny day so the pictures are really in a Icelandic spirit!
Here are a few of them.

My beautiful new jumpsuit from Zara

Wearing my new lipstick!

We simply made this wrath from grass and flowers we found and braided it together.

My gorgeous friend Perla :)

These pictures are simply taken in my friends back yard, and that proofs that you do not have to go to some fancy studio to take beautiful pictures.

My little tinkerbell...

Well I am surprised I haven't told you about my dog. . . . Bjalla :)
She is the funniest dog you will ever hear of and to top that she also has the greatest personality! She is now three and a half years old and she still acts like a little puppy! She can´t get enough of hugs and kisses and never gets tired of chasing the darn cat that keeps interrupting her daily beauty-sleep!
She is also to beautiful for some to handle. . . like her boyfriend that lives on the next corner. she drives him crazy every time she steps out of the house and when they meet it is so cute and romantic! But she is also a bit of a diva and cant spent all of her time with him, she also has to make room in her busy schedule of power naps on other stuff to go chase the gooses and ducks down by the lake. She is a sophisticated lady that does not let silly stuff get in her way of having a great day. She LOVES ice-cream and lying in the sun on a hot summer day. Like I said she is not a very ordinary dog...
I loooove taking pictures of her and have kind of trained her in standing still when I want to get the perfect shot ;)
Here are a few moments stolen from my beautiful tinkerbell´s life...

Cutest nose ever!

On a hot summer day :)
Smily as always. . .

Summertime!

Summer is the time of doing nothing! And when you do something it is only supposed to be one of the things you love.. so me and my friend went ahead and took endless summer-pictures!
Here are a few of them :)

SALE!

Who doesn't love sales? The thing that you have always wanted and made specials trips to the mall for just to admire because you would never even dream of buying it because it is so expensive suddenly drops down to 50% of the original price. . . maybe more?
Well today I went to the sales and "saved" money on all of the good prices! :) It was like finding a treasure for me!
here are some pictures from todays treasure hunt . . .

Rainyday shopping...

Ever had a day that you simply just wanted to go buy your self something nice because of some crappy reason? Well that is what it was for me yesterday. It was pouring outside and I decided to go spend some money on something I had no need for just because I wanted to buy it.

I bought glamour simply because Adele was on the front page and a cupcake-book (I added it on my todo list for the summer to bake endless supplies of delicious cupcakes) I also bought the canvas to get my self back in business because I have not painted in a while.(planning to paint a peacock :) ) The little bowls and the fork where just to tempting I had to have It (good to put cupcake sprinkles in ;) ) And last but not least I bought my first lipstick (brilliant red) and a new eyeshadow because I broke my old one :( (and it was on sale! )

My pretty new cocoa mug :)

Adele!

My friends recently started talking about this singer named Adele that was supposed to be so fantastic and awesome... Me being me, so stubborn that I did not want to give in to that fling everyone was having for that woman. But finally my friend forced me to get to know more about her and I finally fell in love. Her music is almost the only thing I listen to(and at this moment I am very close to being obsessed to ONLY listen to her music I literally storm to the radio if it dares to play anything else and turn it off) I highly recommend her and am going nuts waiting for some more! :D

Here is my favorite song with her:

Home sweet home...

well then, I´m finally home from my training camp in Italy! And it was amazing!!
Of corse I was more tired then I have ever been in my whole life because we trained two times a day for 3 hours and went out jogging every morning earlier then you can imagine! but it was all worth it :) We all had so much fun and the team spirit was to the roof!
We even changed out of our normal routine every once in a while :D
there was the time when we went to the water-park  Atlantica and there was the creepiest water-slide I have ever been to! I felt sick every time I went in it but it was also so much fun that I just kept going and going and going :)
And also one evening we went to the cutest local market and because we had no time during the camp to go shopping we just went wild in it and ran trough it like we where crazy!
And we got real italian pizza one time when we went out for dinner and it was so delicious and perfect I can´t really describe it much...
Of corse there where more things we did beside those things and train. Like going to the beach every day and jumping into the pool more times then I can count and working on our tan while doing that :)
Like I said before It was amazing and I do not regret a thing! :)
Now when I am home (asking for ravioli the minute I step trough the door despite of the fact that i had basically lived on pasta the whole week I was in Italy) I only have wonderful memories from that trip and will never forget them.
( I will add pictures from the trip later on )
